Denise Marie Zanni

Denise Marie Zanni, 38, of Warwick, passed away peacefully with her family at her side, Wednesday, January 8, 2025. Born August 23, 1986, in Providence, she was the daughter of Rosalba (Pelosi) Zanni and the late Michael Zanni. 

Denise was a big personality in a small package. She had an impact on each person she interacted with. She was courageous, inspirational, kind, loving, funny, full of joy, a ball of fire that showed us what can be accomplished with determination, to never give up. Her greatest passion in life was being a mother, and she was as an amazing one. Denise was a friend to many, she was a pillar in her children’s softball community, they were a second family to her. She always showed up and supported the league any way she could.  

Denise was the devoted mother of four children, Jayden Sarandrea, and Adrianna, Gabriella, and Gregory Pettinato. She was the granddaughter of Maria Anna (Meglio) Pelosi and the late Italo Pelosi and of the late Anthony and Harriet (Ouimette) Zanni.  Denise also leaves behind her brother and sister-in-law, Nicholas and Dawn Zanni, and her niece, Mia Zanni; as well as many loving aunts, uncles, cousins and dear friends. 

Relatives and friends are invited to her visitation Tuesday, Jan. 14, from 4pm until 8pm in the “WOODLAWN” Funeral Home, 600 Pontiac Ave., Cranston. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday, Jan. 15, at 10am in St. Rocco’s Church, Atwood Ave., Johnston. (Please go directly to church on Wednesday morning.) Burial will follow at St. Ann Cemetery.
