Charles G. Muscatelli, 69, of East Greenwich, RI, passed away peacefully on April 16, at home surrounded by his family. He was the loving husband, soulmate, and best friend to his wife, Jodie (Platter) Muscatelli.
Born in Providence, he was the cherished son of the late Charles A. and Agnes (Hatton) Muscatelli.
He will be remembered for his kindness, his gentle spirit, and his unwavering love for his family. His selfless nature defined him throughout his life. Whether it was his family, friends or even strangers in need, he consistently placed the well-being of others before his own. This remarkable spirit of generosity and self-sacrifice was a cornerstone of his character until his final days.
His remarkable 50-year career with State Rug began at age 18 and culminated in his proudest achievement: acquiring ownership of the business in 2016. Throughout his half century of service, Chuck's unwavering commitment to quality customer satisfaction became legendary in the community. State Rug & Warwick Floors stands as a testament to his dedication, perseverance and entrepreneurial spirit. His work ethic was like no other.
Outside of providing for his family, his greatest joy was spending time by the ocean. Many days were spent sitting on the wall at Narragansett Beach, breathing in the salty air, and spending long days at Bonnet Shores relaxing and enjoying a cold beer with his feet in the sand. He found great joy in life’s simple pleasures-savoring his morning coffee and enjoying the home-cooked meals lovingly prepared by his wife. He was a huge 49ers fan. His signature dry jokes brought laughter to all who knew him. The magic of Christmas held a special place in his heart. Throughout the year, regardless of the season, the cheerful sounds of holiday music or movies filled his home.
In addition to his wife, he leaves his children, Chuckie Muscatelli (his wife Janesse), Jared Muscatelli, Seneca Muscatelli and Jordan Muscatelli; his sister, Jane Muscatelli Maccarone; and his grandchildren, Jovani and Justin.
Chuck was the father of the late Jaime Muscatelli and the brother of the late Margaret Muscatelli and Catherine Muscatelli.
