Cecile A. (Ducharme) Berardis

Cecile (Ducharme) Berardis, 90, of Johnston, passed away peacefully Friday, March 8, 2024. She was the wife of the late Felix Berardis, Sr.

Born March 27, 1933, in Providence, she was the daughter of the late William and Laura (Lombardi) Ducharme.  

Cecile worked for the City of Providence for more than 30 years before retiring.

She leaves her son, Felix Berardis, Jr.; her daughter, Mona Merolla and her husband Marco; her son-in-law, David Browning; 7 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. Cecile also leaves many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

She was the mother of the late Laurie Browning, MS-CS, RN, ANP, and the sister of the late William and Peter Ducharme.

Visitation will take place Wednesday, March 13, from 9am until 10am in the “WOODLAWN” Funeral Home, 600 Pontiac Ave, Cranston, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11am in Holy Apostles Church, Pippin Orchard Road, Cranston. Burial will follow at St. Ann Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donation are greatly appreciated to either St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN  38105 or to Operation Stand Down, 1010 Hartford Ave., Johnston, RI 02919.
