Carolann “Carol” (Lynch) Zelano passed peacefully on December 29, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. After a courageous seven-year battle with ovarian cancer, Carol left this world with the same strength, grace, and love she showed throughout her life. She was a graduate of North Providence High School.
Carol’s greatest joy was her family. She was a wonderful daughter and sister, and the very best wife, mother, and grandmother. She spent 58 amazing years with her devoted husband, Richard. Together they built a life rooted in family in every sense. Carol believed in showing up for the people you love, staying close through every stage of life, and making time for what mattered most. She had a steady way of bringing everyone together and reminding those around her what family truly means.
Carol bowled weekly and formed many lifelong friendships through bowling, a passion she continued well into her 70s. She was also a proud and loyal fan of the Patriots, Yankees, and Celtics, and her family is certain that she will be cheering them on from heaven. She enjoyed good conversation, keeping up with the news, and sharing laughs with those around her. She also loved her morning coffee and enjoyed finding a good deal, always keeping busy.
She was predeceased by her parents, Theresa and Carroll. She is survived by her beloved husband, Richard; her children, Richard Jr. (Jenna), Tony (Catherine), David (Lori), Wendy (Dave); her brother, Bill (Janet), whom she loved dearly and spoke with daily; and her 10 grandchildren, who were the pride and joy of her life, along with extended family, dear friends, and her precious dog George.
Following Carol’s expressed wishes, her funeral was private. A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at St. Gregory the Great Church, Warwick, with entombment following at the Saints Peter and Paul Mausoleum at St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Warwick Animal Shelter, 101 Arthur W Devine Blvd Warwick RI, 02886.
