Bruce V. Ferreira, 71, of Cranston passed away unexpectedly Saturday, February 28, 2026, at Rhode Island Hospital.
Born on May 19, 1954, he was a son of the late Carlo M. and Belmeda “Betty” (Ponte) Ferreira.
Bruce was the brother of Gregory Ferreira, Denise Marcello, Donna Goyette, Nancy Ruggiano, June Goyette, Beverly “Mia” Colombo, the late Kenny Ferreira, Cher Richards, Nelson Ferreira, Carlo Ferreira, Maureen Mako, and Errol Martin.
Besides his siblings, he is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Bruce was an avid sports fan; he enjoyed watching any and all sports. He loved home-cooked meals, especially meatballs and sausage with pasta. He also loved drinking coffee in the morning and having cheeseburgers with a strawberry shake or a diet coke. Most of all he enjoyed spending time with his family, whether it be over his sister’s house or going to Colt State Park. He had a knowledge of the Word and enjoyed talking with his family about Christ. Bruce will be remembered as a caring, loving, and selfless man. He will be missed dearly.
His funeral and visitation will be held Friday, March 6, 2026 from 8:30 until 9:30 AM with a Funeral Service to begin at 9:30 AM in the “WOODLAWN” Funeral Home, 600 Pontiac Avenue, Cranston. Burial will follow in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston.
