Bertha (Bronislawa Kozak) Zalobowski

Bertha Zalobowski (Bronislawa Kozak), passed away peacefully on November 15, 2023, at the age of 105. She was the wife of the late Joseph Zalobowski Sr., daughter of the late Julia Dzekwicz (Zerbrowski-Kozak) and the late Michael Kozak. Sister of the late Leon Kozak, Jennie Andrade (Taratuta), and many young siblings who passed away during the 1918 flu epidemic.

She leaves her daughter Linda M. Faella and her husband Alfred, nine grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and their families. She was also the mother of the late Joseph Zalobowski Jr. and Judith M. Sauro.

She loved to dance and could waltz with her “Beau” like professional ballroom dancers. She would polka at the Polish Club weekly with her sister Jennie well into their 80’s. She liked to read, play solitaire, and hear about “good news”.

Visitation will be Monday, November 20, 2023, from 9:00 – 11:00 am, followed by a Catholic Prayer Service at 11:00 am in the “WOODLAWN” Funeral Home, 600 Pontiac Ave., Cranston. Graveside burial will follow in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston.
