Barry S. Parks, Sr.

Barry S. Parks, Sr., 78, of Warwick, passed away Thursday, April 18, 2024 at HopeHealth Hulitar Hospice. He was the husband of the late MaryAnn (Grilli) Parks.

Born July 19, 1945, in Providence, he was the son of the late Amil and Alice (Oliver) Parks.

Barry proudly served with the US Army during the Vietnam War.  He worked for the former ALMACS supermarkets for more than 40 years before their closure. Afterwards, he worked for EG&G Sealol until he retired.

He leaves three sons, Barry S. Parks, Jr. and his wife Wendy, Brian Parks and Jason Parks; his grandchildren, Tyler, Michael, Giuliana and Jason Parks Jr.; and his sister, Carol Huntoon.

His funeral will be held Tuesday, April 23, at 9:45am from the “WOODLAWN” Funeral Home, 600 Pontiac Ave., Cranston, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11am in Holy Apostles Church, Cranston. Burial with military honors will follow at the RI Veterans Memorial Cemetery. Visitation will be held Monday, Aprill 22, from 4pm until 7pm in the “WOODLAWN” Funeral Home.
