Antonetta M. (Faella) Santurri

Antonetta M. Santurri, 92, of Randall Street, Cranston passed away Friday January 22, 2021 at Rhode Island Hospital.  She was the wife of the late Roland Santurri.  She was born in Providence a daughter of the late Anthony and Angela (Pellegrino) Faella. 

As a teenager, her first job was at Kresge’s Five and Dime store in downtown Providence.  It was at this time she grew to love working in retail.  In the 1960’s she worked at Burger Corner at Scituate RI, a family owned summertime restaurant.  For many years after this time, she was a stay at home mom raising four children.  When the children were grown and on their own she opened a children’s boutique in Cranston named Lullabys.  At Lullabys, she managed the staff and was the principle buyer.  Her last job was at APICO Insurance in Johnston, where she retired from and moved on to volunteer work. She was a Cranston Community Action Board Member, volunteered at Meals on Wheels and Cranston Senior Center.  She was an AARP Board Member, and a long time member of Tabor Franchi Auxiliary Post #2396. She enjoyed crocheting blankets for family members.  She was a member of a country and western square dancing troupe called the Swinging Squares where she made many friends for life.

Antonetta is survived by two daughters, Lia Santurri, Susan Harrison and spouse Burr Harrison, son David Santurri and grandmother of six, great-grandmother of two.  She was the sister of Barbara Gazzo. She was the mother of the late Stephen Santurri and sister of the late John Faella, Anthony Faella and Clemintina Tessier.

She will be sadly missed but she will forever live on  in our hearts. We love you.

Her funeral and burial will be private due to Covid restrictions.  Memorial contributions may be made to the American Lung Association of RI 20 West Exchange Street Suite 102 B Providence, RI 02903.
