Obituary

Anna “Nina” (Pelella) Tarantino, 95, of Jamestown, Rhode Island and Pompano Beach, Florida, passed away Tuesday, April 5, 2022, while in Rhode Island. She was the beloved wife of the late Dr. Joseph A. Tarantino. Born in Naples, Italy she was the daughter of the late Giuseppe and Giovanna (Somella) Pelella.

She is survived by her four children; Joann Tarantino, Angelo Tarantino, Paula Taylor, and Doreen Tarantino, six grandchildren: Christina, Joshua and Destiny Taylor, Giovanna Tarantino, Joseph, and Michael Tarantino.  She also leaves 3 great-grandchildren, Ella, Gianna, and Brody.

Anna was the sister of Rino Pelella, Bianca DiGenio, Bruna Memoli and the late Enzo Pelella, Alfonso Pelella and Ugo Pelella.

Her funeral and visitation will be held Saturday, April 9th  from 9:00 – 10:30 AM at “WOODLAWN” Funeral Home, 600 Pontiac Avenue, Cranston, RI,  followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 AM in St. Mark Church, Cranston, RI.
