Anna M. (Poli) Gorman, 97, of Cranston, passed away peacefully with her daughter at her side, Monday, May 26, at the Lincolnwood Health Care Center. She was the wife of 76 years of the late Robert E. Gorman, Jr., who passed away in February.
Born September 2, 1927, in Providence, she was the last surviving child of the late Albert and Frances (Giglio) Poli.
She leaves her son, Robert E. Gorman, III and his wife Judith of Boca Raton, FL; her daughter, Chery A. Nersesian and her husband Edward, of North Providence; her special and devoted son, Raoul Lefebvre and his wife Ivy of Charlestown; and her three grandchildren, Jennifer, Amy (her husband Jared) and Robbie.
She was preceded in death by her 10 siblings, Alphonse Poli, John Poli, Armando Poli, Frank Poli, Albert Poli, Antonetta Bessucini, Teresa Aquino, Frances Carceiri, Emily DeJesus and Anglina Spicuzza.
Her funeral service will take place Friday, June 6, at 10:30am at the Rhode Island Veterans Memorial Cemetery, South County Trail, Exeter. (Attendees are asked to meet at 10:15am at the Funeral Cortege meeting area located just past the Administration Building inside the main entrance.)
