Angelo Iozzi, Jr. Obituary

Angelo Iozzi,Jr., 75, of Cranston, passed away surrounded by his family Saturday evening, Oct. 19, 2024 at HopeHealth Hulitar Hospice Center. He was the husband of Michelle (Scaramuzzi) Iozzi.

Born in Providence to Angelo Iozzi,Sr., and Teresa Iozzi, he was raised in the Italian community of Federal Hill and lived his whole life in Rhode Island.

After attending Central High School, he worked much of his life for a printing company, but most people knew him for his decades working as a wedding photographer. Later, he found an unexpected passion driving a bus for the Cranston school system.

In addition to his wife of 29 years, Michelle Iozzi, he is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Christian and Elisha Iozzi; his step-daughter, Lisa Rosa; his grandchildren, Genevieve, Sheyann, Antonio and Nylah; and his great grandchildren, Izabella, Annalei and Raziel. He also leaves his brother, John Iozzi, and his lifelong friend, Paul Lombardi.

He was best known for his larger-than-life personality that could light up a room. Everyone that knew him has a story of his antics and humor. He also had a passion for music. His favorite band was Kool & the Gang, but he had an eclectic taste that ranged from disco, rock, oldies, funk, and country. He also loved The New England Patriots, he was delighted to witness their recent dynasty and had the opportunity to drive “The Gronk Bus” for other die-hard fans.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his visitation Wednesday, Oct. 23, from 4pm until 7pm in the "WOODLAWN" Funeral Home, 600 Pontiac Ave., Cranston.
