Angela Bailey Obituary

Angela (Caldarone) Bailey, 87, of Cranston passed away at home with her family on January 28, 2025. She was the wife of the late Maurice Francis Bailey, Jr.

Not only was Angela, “E-ma”, known greatly for her generosity to her friends, family, and many charities; she will be remembered for her continuous shopping, love of sweets, and the exceptional care she provided to her patients during her 39-year career as a nurse at Rhode Island Hospital.

Born August 18, 1937, in Providence, Angela was the daughter of the late Rosindo and Antonetta (Lombardi) Caldarone. She was the sister of Alfred (Arline) Caldarone and the late Rosindo Caldarone, Jr.

Stories of nursing and growing up on Federal Hill were told to the generations she leaves behind. She had three children; Cheryl (Gerald) Aubin of Cranston - who were her caregivers, Steven (Suzanne) Bailey of Exeter, and Lisa Bailey (Melodie Mathews) of Coventry; four grandchildren; Kerri (Randy) Vincent, Gina (Jason) Floody, Laura (Nate) Whitmer, and Kayla Bailey; and seven great grandchildren; Ryan and Rory Vincent, Giavanna Calenda, Jace and Mya Floody, Finn and Charlie Whitmer.

Relatives and friends are invited to a Mass of Christian Burial, Friday, Feburary 7, at 11:00 am in St. Rocco’s Church, Johnston. Entombment will follow in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. Visitation is respectfully omitted.

The family would like to thank the hospice staff of VNA Care New England.
