Angel C. Lizarda, Jr., 78, of Warwick, passed away peacefully at home with his family at his side, January 1, 2024. He was the loving husband of Gloria (Ferriera) Lizarda.
Born in Munitpilupa, Rizal, Philippines, he was a son of the late Angel Lizarda Sr. and the late Angelina Crisostomo Lizarda.
He immigrated to the United States and proudly served in the US Navy for 10 years. He was a veteran of the Vietnam War.
He enjoyed summer days by the pool with his grandchildren and was a collector of all things. Angel was a Master Electrician for many years at Electric Boat. He was everyone’s handyman.
His wife Gloria was the love of his life whom he spoiled endlessly.
In addition to his wife, he leaves his children, Robert Ferriera, Raymond Ferriera, John Lizarda and Manuel Lizarda; his grandchildren, Ray, Michelle, Anthony, Christina, Brittany, Brianna, Colin, Jonathan, Jared, Angel, Zaina and Robert; and 19 great grandchildren.
He was the brother of the late Herminia Lizarda Shearman, the late Pablo C. Lizardo, Francisco C. Lizarda, Agapito C. Lizarda, the late Emelita Lizarda Ombajin, SFC Pedro Crisostomo Lizarda, Angelina C. Lizarda Osmena and the late Valeriano C. Lizarda.
A graveside funeral service with military honors will be held Thursday, Jan. 11, at 11am at St. Ann Cemetery.m
