America G. (Coppolino) Brett

America G. (Coppolino) Brett, 94, of Garden City Dr., Cranston, passed away peacefully Friday, November 3, 2023. She was the wife of the late Donald Brett.

Born July 21, 1929, in Providence, she was a daughter of the late Antonio and Anna (Morelli) Coppolino.

America grew up on Federal Hill and graduated from St. Xavier Academy. She worked as an operator at New England Telephone and Telegraph Company for thirteen years and in human services for the state of RI for ten years. She enjoyed playing the piano, baking, reading, and listening to opera. She was known by all for her generosity, and her cheesecake.

She was the loving mother of Ann Mary and her husband Kent. She was the sister of the late Perini Coppolino, Dominic Coppolino, Marion Spittlehouse, Lena Fontaine, Pauline Forchione, Vincenza Coppolino, and Louise Coppolino.

Her funeral will begin Wednesday, Nov. 8, at 9am from the “WOODLAWN” Funeral Home, 600 Pontiac Ave., Cranston, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10am in St. Mark’s Church, Garden Court, Cranston. Burial will follow at St. Ann Cemetery. Visitation will take place in the “WOODLAWN” Funeral Home on Tuesday, from 5pm until 8pm.
