Amelia "Lee" Grande
Bids her family a fond farewell
Amelia “Lee” (DiSanto) Grande, of Providence, having completed her earthly sojourn on Good Friday, March 29, 2024, leaves behind the center of her world, her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. Devoting her entire life to nurturing them with her love. Her motto was “Family is where life begins and love never ends.”
She was the daughter of the late Nancy Gentile and Thomas DiSanto.
A devoted wife of 65 years to deceased and beloved husband Mario “Sonny” Grande.
This mother, Nana, and Great Grandmother is survived by two sons Mario D. Grande and wife Theresa of Providence, and Eric T. Grande and his wife Denise of Johnston, and her daughter Denise L. Grande of Warwick. Also leaves behind three grandsons Mario L. Grande and his wife Elizabeth, Leo S. Grande, and Vincent E. Grande; two great granddaughters, Isabella L. Grande and Lilliana S. Grande; plus several nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Emilio N. DiSanto.
Amelia was a graduate of Bryant College and pursued a brief career as an assistant to the manager at American Tourister Company, leaving early, only to marry her love “Sonny”. Consequently, becoming a “Stay at Home Mom” She and her beloved Shared 65 years together which she constantly described as “Camelot”.
Her Family trusts that she is with God now and that the relationship will never End.
Visitation will be held Friday, April 5, from 10am until 11am at the “WOODLAWN” Funeral Home, 600 Pontiac Ave., Cranston, with a funeral service at 11am in the funeral home. Burial will follow at Swan Point Cemetery, Providence.
