Alexandria Saker Obituary

Alexandria M. Saker, 23, passed away tragically January 25, 2020 in Nevada. Born in Providence, she was the beloved daughter of Elie N. and Ernesta “Tina” (Thomas) Saker. Besides her parents, she leaves behind her three brothers, Michael G. Saker, Elie Nicholas Saker and Christopher A. Saker and cherished and loving great-cousin George A. Thomas IV. She also leaves behind her paternal grandmother Badrie Saker, aunt Georgeann Thomas, aunt Valerie Thomas, uncle Thomas Thomas and wife Maureen, uncle Pierre Saker and wife Darine, aunt Josephine Najm and husband Joseph and aunt Mirna Saker-Ferla. Alexandria also leaves behind her loving boyfriend Derek Hawkins and many, many cousins and friends around the world.

Alexandria is predeceased by her Maternal Grandparents George and Samira Thomas, Uncle George Thomas, Jr. and Paternal Grandfather Nakhle Saker.

Alexandria graduated from Johnston High School and Johnson & Wales University. She was the former head page for the State of Rhode Island House of Representatives. She was currently employed by Swarovski Optics, Marketing Division, Cranston, RI.

Alexandria was enjoying a fun weekend after a business convention in Nevada when the tragic accident occurred while she was doing what she loved most, enjoying nature and outdoor activities. She was a kind, caring, loving and compassionate person, never judged anyone, loved her Church and was very faithful.  She touched the hearts of all those who met her. She also touched the lives of people around the world including Lebanon, Australia, Easton, Pennsylvania, Canada and Florida. There was no shortage of great accomplishments in her short 23 years on this earth. 

Alexandria’s family is eternally grateful to her boss, Dean Capuano from Swarovski for not leaving her side after her tragedy.

Her funeral and visitation will be held Friday January 31st .  VISITATION will be held in St. George Maronite Catholic Church from 8:30 a.m. – 11:30 a.m. followed by a MASS of Christian Burial at 12 noon in the Church.  Burial will follow in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston.
