Alevera Russo Obituary

Alevera “Edie” M. Russo, 97, of Johnston, passed away Saturday, June 27 at Cherry Hill Manor.

She was the beloved wife of the late George Russo.

Born in Providence, she was a daughter of the late Michael and Marie Moretti.

Alevera is survived by her children; Carlo Russo and Susan, Ray Russo and Lori, and Linda Fratantuono and was the mother-in-law of the late Joseph Fratantuono.

She is also survived by her sisters; Camela Johnston  and Evelyn Padula.

Alevera is also survived by 6 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.

Alevera was predeceased by her siblings, Rose DelGuidice, Angie Antonucci, Celia Spolidoro, Jennie Titherington, Anna Izzi, Theresa Pacifico, Angelo (Tony) Moretti, Mary Pannone and half siblings,  Domenic (Tom) Moretti, Luigi Moretti, Laura Moretti, Lena Petrillo.

Her funeral will be held Tuesday at 9:30 am from “WOODLAWN “  Funeral Home. Followed by a Mass of Christian Burial Tuesday, June 30, at 11 am in St. Mary Church, Cranston. Burial will follow in St. Ann Cemetery. Calling hours Monday 4-7 pm.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Mary Church, 1525 Cranston St, Cranston, RI 02920.
