Ronald DelGallo Obituary

Ronald DelGallo, 66, passed away Saturday, November 23, 2019 at Roger Williams Medical Center.

He was the beloved husband for 35 years of Angela (Vecchio) DelGallo and the son of Christina (Cotoia) DelGallo and the late Pasquale “Pat” DelGallo.

Ron worked as director of transportation and distribution at the Providence Water Supply Board for over 30 years before retiring.

Ron was a member of The Sandbaggers golf league for many years, also an owner in the original Rhody Fantasy Baseball League.  Since his retirement

Ron enjoyed his winters in West Palm Beach, FL where he had many friends and was active in Bocce and card leagues. He also attended all of his son’s hockey and baseball games thru the years. 

Ronnie enjoyed spending time with his family at Dolly Copp campground in the White Mountains and at Popham Beach in Maine.

He was an avid NY Yankee, Patriots and Bruins fan and loved all sports. He enjoyed cooking and entertaining his family and friends with great meals.

He was the devoted father of Jenna M. Watts and her husband Christopher and Nicholas DelGallo and his wife Ally.  He was the loving grandfather of

Jayden Watts and Logan DelGallo. He was the brother of Lori DelGallo and David DelGallo and his wife Becky. He is also survived by his

sister and brothers in law, Steve and Carol Cherry and Everett and Nancy Rogers. He leaves loving nieces and nephews, many cousins, his uncles and his beloved yellow lab, Gansett.

Funeral from “WOODLAWN” Funeral  Home, 600 Pontiac Avenue, Cranston, RI on Saturday, Nov 30, 2019 at 8:45 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St. Mary Church, Cranston.  Visiting hours are Friday evening , November 29, 2019 from 4 pm to 6 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital will be appreciated.
