Stephen was a union painter with his father and on his own for over 30 years and was a member of International Painters Local # 195.
Besides his wife and parents, he is survived by two sisters; Jean LaFazia of Cranston, Leslie Nelson of Warwick, two brothers; Leonard LaFazia of Cranston and William T. LaFazia of Florida. He is also survived by his grandson Alec LaFazia and his mother Sandra. He was the father of the late Stephen LaFazia, Jr.
Stephen's grandson Alec was the apple of his eye and light of his life.
Stephen was very close with his family and leaves behind many close and loving friends.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Mass of Christian Burial Friday at 10 a.m. in St. Mary's Church, Cranston. Entombment will follow in Our Risen Christ Garden Mausoleum, St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. Calling hours are respectfully omitted.
